From the airport, it’s a short drive to the Angkor Archaeological Park. Many visitors also arrive by bus from Phnom Penh or other parts of Cambodia. Tuk-tuks and taxis are readily available for transportation within Siem Reap and to the temple complex.
Time to Get to Angkor Wat
The journey to Angkor Wat depends on your starting point. If you’re flying into Siem Reap, the flight time varies, but once you land, you’re just a short drive away from the temples. From other parts of Cambodia, bus travel may take several hours. Plan for a full day or more to explore the temples at a leisurely pace.
Where to Stay in Angkor Wat
Siem Reap offers a range of accommodations catering to different preferences. From budget-friendly hostels to luxurious resorts, there’s an option for every traveler. The areas around Pub Street and Old Market are bustling with energy, while quieter options can be found near the Siem Reap River. Staying in Siem Reap provides easy access to the temples and a vibrant atmosphere in the evenings.
Cost at Angkor Wat
The cost of visiting Angkor Wat includes the entrance fee to the Angkor Archaeological Park. As of my last knowledge update, a one-day pass costs around $37, a three-day pass is approximately $62, and a seven-day pass is around $72. Tuk-tuks or taxis for transportation, guides, and any additional activities will incur extra costs. It’s advisable to check for the latest pricing.
What to Do in Angkor Wat
