If you’re flying in, the closest airports are Bolzano Airport or Innsbruck Airport in Austria. From Bolzano, you can take a scenic drive or use public transportation to reach the lake. If you’re arriving by train, Brunico is the nearest major train station, and buses are available from there to Lago di Braies.
Time to Get to Lago Di Braies
The journey to Lago di Braies is a visual feast, especially if you’re driving. From Bolzano, the drive takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the route and weather conditions. From Venice, it will take around 2.5 hours. The journey is as much a part of the experience as the destination itself, with winding roads offering glimpses of the stunning Dolomite landscapes.
